Baroque
Baroque – (Portuguese. Baroco – freaky, bad, wrong, spoiled). The term “baroque” has many meanings in the history of art. Among them are narrower, to indicate artistic styles in the art of various countries of the XVII-XVIII centuries, or broader ones – to define the ever-renewing tendencies of restless, romantic attitudes, thinking in expressive, dynamic forms, or generally as a poetic metaphor: “Baroque man” , “Baroque”, “Baroque world”, “Baroque life”. Landscape poetry
My lessons in art history are different. I give lectures to adults, and I try to talk more with the children, to play, to bring about “co-creation” in them. Especially fascinating for both parties are classes devoted to the landscape genre. The first lesson in landscape for first-graders (in an art school for first-graders 10-11 years old) is traditionally held – first you need to get acquainted with the features of the genre, its varieties, with the most famous Russian landscape painters. Hubert Robert – “Painter of Ruins”
Antique ruins, then reflected in calm waters, then almost hidden by thickets of climbing plants, shrubs. Peaceful rural nature, almost always clear sky. Through the gaps of the trees, the dying rays of the sun make their way. Soft play of close colors, remarkable skill in depicting architecture, human figures, in the transfer of the finest natural states.
